We are taking a TEMPORARY break from adoption appointments until April 14th. You are welcome to call or email for an update on our status. We will move some of our pets into temporary foster homes and the others will be cared for by our staff. This break will allow us to spend extra time loving the pets that remain on site and will help our small but mighty staff remain healthy.

All of our available pets are listed on our website. If you would like to meet one, please contact us and we will set an appointment for a future date.

YAPS will remain open by appointment ONLY. We have implemented temporary policies and procedures at YAPS to ensure the safety of our volunteers, staff and clients.

You can arrange an appointment by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or calling the YAPS office between 10:00am and 3:00pm, 909-790-1440.

For foster vaccinations or foster information please call to schedule an appointment time. The gates at YAPS will be closed. Please honk or call when you arrive at the front gate for your appointment.

The following appointments will take place curbside:

  • Foster Vaccinations
  • Pet Food, Pet Supplies or Monetary Donation Drop offs

The following appointments require clients to park inside:

  • New Fosters filling out paperwork and meeting a foster to take home

We do ask that if you are not feeling absolutely 100% healthy, have been exposed to any bacteria or virus, or have traveled by plane, train or public transportation, please stay home. Thank you!

Sponsor-a-Pet

As a YAPS supporter, we consider you part of our team. It is going to take all of us coming together virtually to get through this quarantine period. The simple truth is YAPS cannot exist without donations. 47% of our budget comes from private donations.

For every donation of $50.00 or more, we will place your name or your pet(s) name on an available pet of your choosing. All pets are eligible to have multiple sponsors. As you can see, Pasadena is being sponsored in memory of Libby Eskenas. You can choose to sponsor "in memory" or "in honor." Please mention the name and dedication type in the notes section of your online donation. Your donations will allow YAPS to continue saving lives during this quarantine.

You can donate without leaving your home.

You can click here to donate through our website which takes about one month to reach us: https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/560601.

You can also donate through PayPal and the funds will reach us immediately: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=XKWQ2RWM3NWYE&source=url.

Donations can be mailed in to:

YAPS, P.O. Box 199, Yucaipa, CA 92399

We are a nonprofit, so we are used to operating on a tight budget. Unfortunately, YAPS will not survive this quarantine without monetary donations. It takes approximately $360,000.00 per year to run the YAPS facility and loosing donations right now will change the way we operate in the future. Thank you for your consideration!
