Redlands resident, Rachel Roesch was on a mission when she and a friend began their newest venture, the Kridder Klub.  A huge animal lover, Rachel boasts three dogs of her own and also volunteers her time at Yucaipa Animal Placement Society.  Following after her mom and grandmother, both of whom have a long history of volunteering with local animal shelters, Rachel took it the next step and started a club that would help animal related causes.

The Kridder Klub currently has four members, and the mission simply is helping animals in need.  With that in mind, they chose a cause near and dear to Rachel’s heart, YAPS.  The group decided they wanted to help raise money for the furry friends of Yucaipa Animal Placement Society who need special medical procedures prior to being placed for adoption. The event being a bake sale and the location, Arthur’s Restaurant in Mentone thanks to the consent of owner, Debbie.

The sale was held Saturday, April 14th scheduled from 10am to 1pm; however the goods sold out within just two hours.  The cakes, cookies and brownies that the group made raised $120.00 for the YAPS center.

Yucaipa Animal Placement Society will host the next meeting of the Kridder Klub, next Saturday April 21st.  The Klub is looking to grow and encourages animal loving kids to attend and perhaps join the cause!
