The Yucaipa Animal Placement Society is committed to providing quality care to those animals who are searching for their forever home. It is our goal to save the lives of as many animals as possible. One way that we can continue to do this is through our Foster Program. Families within the immediate area who want to work towards having “no more homeless pets” have joined us in welcoming Y.A.P.S. dogs and cats into their homes.

Kittens are not the only animals that can benefit from a foster home. Families can choose what type of animal is best for their lifestyle and experience. Nearly every animal we have can benefit from a foster home.

  • Orphaned kittens and puppies
  • Under-aged, yet self feeding, kittens and puppies
  • Mothers nursing their kittens or puppies
  • Shy or fearful animals who are in need of socialization
  • Healthy animals waiting for space at YAPS or who simply want a vacation from YAPS
Puppies

If you are considering bringing an animal into your home via our Foster Program, please consider the following. Y.A.P.S. is a low intake non profit animal shelter. We receive absolutely no county or state funding. We need foster families to provide plenty of the following:

  • Love
  • Food/kitten or puppy formula
  • Litter and litter box
  • Treats and toys
