Programs

This program is for adults over 18 whose main objective is to help in the office, with fundraisers, adoption events, working directly with dogs and cats and/or be part of the everyday kennel and cattery care. YAPS is in need of volunteers that can commit to a minimum of 5 hours per month. All volunteers must complete 4 Wags & Walk and Orientation to become a volunteer.

Options for Volunteering:

  •   Adoption Placement

  •    Adoption Events held offsite

  •   Animal Care  (exercising cats or dogs, kennel cleaning, grooming, laundry)

  •   Foster care (home visit required)

  •   Fundraising/Fundraising Events 

  •   Marketing

  •  Office Assistant

  •  PAWSitive Reading Assistant

  •  Socializing Dogs  (to include training, walking and socializing )

  •  Social Media

  •  Special Events: Planning and Organizing

  •  Special Events: Day of Event Staff

  •  Wags & Walk Assistant

  •  Website Development

  •  Yard Crew (to include lawn mowing, raking, weeding, gardening, planting, etc.)

  • Socializing felines and cleaning duties in the Cattery
