Y.A.P.S. animals need your help!  

Here at Y.A.P.S. we always need supplies for the care of the animals:

  • Bleach, Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Laundry Soap, Dish Soap, Sponges/scouring pads
  • Dog & Puppy Food, Cat & Kitten Food, Formula for newborn puppies and kittens
  • Cat litter any kind, puppy pads
  • Large trash bags 13 gallon & 45 gallon, towels, sheets, blankets
  • Rubber gloves, work gloves, Brooms 
  • Postage stamps, gift cards to places like Staples,  Home Depot, Office Depot, Costco, Walmart etc....

Items can be left at the gate when we are closed or during business hours stop in with your donation, we would love to see you .
If you have toured our web site or our facility, you are already aware of the great work we do. Why not help us continue our efforts. With your help, we can continue our great programs. 

  • Beginner Level Volunteers (ages 10 - 13 years) Must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
  1. Wags and Walks-take a YAPS dog for much needed exercise and socialization
  2. PAWSitive reading club- hang out and read to the dogs to help socialize them
  3. Supplies drive - you can organize a supply drive at your school,church, sports team, or birthday party. 
  4. Organize a fundraiser for the furry friends at YAPS- bake sale, garage sale, pennies for pets,etc.
  • Junior Level Volunteers (ages 14 - 17 years) ~ call and inquire about available dates and times
  1. Wags and Walks-take a YAPS dog for much needed exercise and socialization 
  2. PAWSitive reading club- hang out and read to the dogs to help socialize them
  3. Supplies drive - you can organize a supply drive at your school,church, sports team, or birthday party. 
  4. Organize a fundraiser for the furry friends at YAPS- bake sale, garage sale, pennies for pets,etc.
  5. Animal Care Cleaning Kennels, laundry, dishes, walking and playing with animals
  6. Yard Crew -- help to maintain the YAPS grounds to make a safe environment for the animals and human friends.
  • Adult Level Volunteers (18 years and up)
  1. Adoption Placement
  2. Adoption Events (held offsite)
  3. Animal Care (exercising cats or dogs, kennel cleaning, grooming, laundry)
  4. Foster Care (home visit required)
  5. Fundraising
  6. Marketing
  7. Office Assistant
  8. Pawsitive Reading Assistant
  9. Social Media
  10. Wags and Walks Assistant
  11. Website Development
  12. Yard Crew (includes mowing lawn, raking, weeding, planting, etc.)
  • Sponsor a YAPS rescue
  • Herdina and Gimble Programs for seniors and low income families
  • Dog for Dog pet foods- participating store Uptown Pets

With you help we can expand and improve Y.A.P.S. by saving even more little lives.
