HELP! We Need Volunteers

Volunteer
Y.A.P.S. is currently searching for volunteers who are interested in helping with offsite adoptions, fundraising, data entry and our quarterly newsletter.

There is a solution to the problem of homeless cats and dogs. It's not an easy one but it's there. It's there in our community and you can be a part of it. You can become a Y.A.P.S. volunteer and contribute to finding a solution so there are “no more homeless pets”. You can help save a life.

If you have been thinking about getting involved or were wondering what you could possibly do to help the animals, Y.A.P.S. may be just the place for you. Y.A.P.S. is currently in need of loving, dedicated and hard-working people who can help us provide care for our animals. Everything we do here is for the animals. Every reason for our being here is all for the animals.

What will I be doing as a volunteer?

The answer is anything and everything! Some of the things we need help with include:
Volunteer
  • Walking Dogs
  • Socializing Cats
  • Feeding the Animals
  • Laundry
  • Maintenance
  • Fundraising Events
  • Grooming
  • Office Projects
  • and just about anything you can think of

Additional Information

When you volunteer you should wear closed toed shoes, remove any piercing's (except ears), dress appropriately for the time of year and dress in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

The hours that volunteers are needed are during the 10 am to 3:30 pm time frame, however we don't expect you to be there for the entire time. There are days when we may need you for longer or shorter periods of time. Once you have established yourself in our volunteer program and if you would like to volunteer before we open and help with cleaning the animals, please speak with Karin Bolen, Site Manager.

It is recommended that you bring something to eat and drink. We do have a refrigerator and microwave oven available for your use.

Anyone who has been ordered to provide community service must first contact our Site Manager for an interview prior to attending any orientation classes!

If you have any questions or need additional information please contact us anytime at (909) 790-1440.

Y.A.P.S. would like to thank those individuals that are currently give their time and energy to our animals and to the cause of homeless pets. Without volunteers we could not keep our doors open.
